About this Privacy Policy

We, Unipower AB, strive to protect our customers personal integrity in best way possible. It is crucial to us to be open and transparent how we handle your personal data, therefore it is described in this Privacy Policy. By accepting this Privacy Policy in combination with purchase or contacting us for other reasons, you agree to us handling your personal data as described below.

 

Responsibility for your personal information

Unipower AB, Box 411, 44128 Alingsås, registration number 556390-7491, is responsible for the personal data collected and processed by Unipower. We are responsible for the lawful processing of your personal data.

 

Why do we collect personal information?

Our primary purpose with the personal data we collect is to be able to fulfil our legal and compliancerelated obligations towards our customers. We also collect personal data from you currently not being a customer but wish to receive our newsletter, have participated seminars, trainings or for other reasons have contacted us to receive information of our products and services.

 

How Unipower protects your data

Unipower protects your personal data through a combination of technical and organizational solutions. The number of persons to whom the information is available is restricted. All computers and units handling personal data have access protection. Personal data printed on paper is stored in locked archive cabinets.

 

Where is your personal data stored?

Unipower stores all personal data collected from you within the EU and the EEA.

 

How we collect and use your personal information

Unipower AB collects personal information in connection with your visit to our website, purchase our products or services or by other contacts you have with us. We collect and store the information you provide us with, such as name, address, emails and phone numbers. We also collect information on which Unipower products and services you have purchased.

The purpose is for us to be able to fulfil our contractual obligations and handle support and complaints. As we also wish to be able to offer you the best service of software upgrades as well as inform you of new products, therefore we save your personal information in our sales support program. If you participate in a course or contact our support, we will also collect your personal information about this. If you are in our customer register, you will also receive our newsletter and other mailings regarding our products and services. If you no longer wish to receive information from us, you can inform us and we will remove you from the mailing list.

 

Who can see your personal information?

Your personal data is used by Unipower and the companies acting as personal data assistants of Unipower AB. We do not disclose your personal information to any other part unless we must do so by law, regulation or Government decision. We will never forward or sell your personal data to third parties without obtaining your consent first. Personal data are only forwarded to third part if requested and approved by you in order to provide a service.

 

How long is your personal data stored?

We do not save personal information any longer than necessary. We store your personal data no longer than 36 months after a contract has ended, if you no longer are a customer to us. However, some data may need to be saved for longer periods of time to meet other legal obligations, such as the Accounting act where we need to save data for 7 years. There are also reasons to save the data for a longer period if an investigation or dispute is in progress even if the customer relationship has previously ceased, or you purchased a product or service from us where we need to save that data in order to fulfill our Guarantee obligation.

 

Your rights

You have the right to request a register extract to know what personal information we have about you. You have the right to request that incorrect or incomplete information must be corrected or deleted. You have the right to object to our handling, or request limitation of your personal information. If you have consented to our handling of your personal information, you always have the right to change your mind and withdraw your consent.

You have the right to request the deletion of your personal data from our system if the data are no longer needed for the purpose for which they were originally intended. The right to be deleted does not apply if we are required by law to retain the information e.g. the Accounting Act.
