Unipower PQ Workshop welcomed participants from the Middle East and Africa

During the last week of September Unipower arranged an extensive power quality workshop. It was held at Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg and at the Unipower offices in Alingsås. The majority of participants came from countries in the Middle East and Africa.

The course covered topics such as power quality disturbances, power quality costs, power quality monitoring, and power quality mitigation measures. Participants also learnt how to configure and set up Unipower power quality analyzers.

First speaker at the workshop was Professor Massimo Bongiorno from the Division of Electric Power Engineering at Chalmers. He gave a much appreciated lecture on the different challenges in the modern power network. At the end of the week the professor answered many questions from the participants.

One day of the workshop took place at sea. Participants made an exciting day trip to Denmark and used the conference facilities on board the ferry.
