Unipower shares Swedish grid experience at Spotlight Sweden Forum

Thomas Ottosson, Managing Director of Unipower AB, took part in the Spotlight Sweden Forum on October 29, 2026, contributing to a panel discussion on strengthening power grid infrastructure and resilience in the ASEAN region. The discussion focused on how Swedish and European experience can support the development of more resilient and interconnected electricity grids in Southeast Asia.

Thomas Ottosson highlighted the importance of continuous, high-resolution Power Quality (PQ) measurements as renewable energy, battery storage and electrification increasingly change the demands on electricity grids. Drawing on Sweden’s experience, he emphasized the value of long-term data collection to monitor changes in grid conditions and support future decisions.

He also pointed to opportunities for cooperation between Sweden and Singapore, including the exchange of grid measurement data as a starting point for further collaboration.

The panel brought together experts from the energy sector and was moderated by Business Sweden.
